Showing a splash
Choose the presentation and playback mode for the splash before launching it.
Where it appears
Section titled “Where it appears”| Presentation | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Scene | Over the game scene. |
| HUD | Over the scene’s interface layer. |
| Full | A fullscreen splash. |
| Handout | Its own window. |
A handout is useful when players should keep the board visible. Fullscreen works well for a scene introduction or a screen you want everyone to focus on.
Local or synced?
Section titled “Local or synced?”Local is the default. Every player gets their own copy: clicking a button changes their screen.
Synced shares progress across the table. Use it for a puzzle everyone solves together, a shared reveal, or a vote. Keep a GM connected to coordinate the shared state.
Player access
Section titled “Player access”Players need Observer access to read a synced splash. Trigger-launched splashes grant Observer access to the splash and its parent journal.
Keep those splashes in their own journal if neighbouring pages should remain hidden. Pages inheriting the journal’s permissions may become visible too.
